Project Overview

Located in South Perth, this project comprises two bespoke residences designed to introduce a refined, high-density housing outcome within an established inner-city setting. The design responds to the site’s context and topography, balancing built form with landscape to create a development that engages directly with the street while maintaining a strong residential presence.

The architecture is shaped by a focus on articulation, materiality and landscape integration. A layered approach to planting extends across multiple levels, softening the building form and creating a green interface between the development and its surroundings. Varied materials, blade walls and sculpted forms break down the scale of the elevations, introducing depth and shadow while responding to the site’s elongated proportions. The result is a built form that feels considered and visually dynamic without overwhelming its context.

Each residence is designed to prioritise flexibility, outlook and access to natural light. Living and entertaining areas are oriented north to maximise solar exposure, extending to generous outdoor spaces including elevated terraces that capture views toward the Swan River and surrounding landmarks. Internal planning supports adaptable living arrangements, with secondary spaces and integrated light wells ensuring no area is disconnected from daylight. Careful setbacks, tiered landscaping and considered massing contribute to privacy, amenity and a balanced relationship with neighbouring properties.
