Project Overview
Located in Shenton Park, this project introduces a new two-storey residence designed to respond sensitively to its established streetscape while accommodating contemporary living. The built form is composed of a single-storey element addressing the street, with a secondary upper level set back within the site, reducing visual impact and reinforcing the existing character of the neighbourhood.
The design balances contextual response with a clear architectural identity. Material variation, texture and carefully considered fenestration create depth across the facade, while landscaping plays a key role in softening the building edge and shaping the arrival experience. The arrangement of the built form maximises northern orientation, allowing natural light to filter into primary living areas and central outdoor spaces.
Internally, the home is planned to support flexibility, functionality and long-term use. Open-plan living zones extend into outdoor entertaining areas, creating a strong indoor-outdoor connection, while adaptable spaces including home office and retreat areas respond to evolving lifestyle needs. Thoughtful setbacks, retained vegetation and considered massing ensure privacy and minimise impact on neighbouring properties, resulting in a residence that is both contextually responsive and highly liveable.
