Caversham Village

Commercial Architect Perth

Project Team

Project Overview

Caversham Village is a mixed-use development combining 28 residential dwellings with a commercial offering, located within the Neighbourhood Centre precinct in the City of Swan. The project responds to the area’s continued growth by introducing increased housing density alongside accessible, local amenities, supporting a more connected and walkable community.

The design draws from Caversham’s agricultural heritage and established character, reinterpreting traditional materials and forms through a contemporary lens. A restrained palette of brick, timber and fibre cement cladding creates a durable and contextually grounded built form, while articulated facades, glazing and shading elements activate the street edges. The development is scaled to prioritise a pedestrian-friendly experience, with both residential and commercial components contributing to a cohesive and legible streetscape.

At ground level, the commercial offering including food and beverage, wellness and community-focused services reinforces the site’s role as a local hub. The residential component is designed for flexibility and long-term liveability, with efficient planning, adaptable spaces and strong connections to landscaped areas. Dual-aspect dwellings, passive design principles and integrated green spaces support amenity, privacy and environmental performance, resulting in a development that balances density with quality of living.
