WALARNU HOUSE

“60,000 year link to the land”

Walarnu (Boomerang) House was inspired by the irregular shape of the hunting boomerang. The concept celebrates a 60,000 year link to the land. The boomerang was used primarily as a hunting tool, although it was often used to dig into the earth or to start fires. With a more contemporary approach, the architecture attempts to recreate narratives linked to shaping the landscape through dreamtime.
