The studio has curated a diverse portfolio spanning residential, hospitality and commercial projects with varying budgets and project requirements. More recently the studio, guided by Director Zac Evangelisti, has expanded into medium density development including group dwellings in response to the “Missing Middle” housing typology. ZARQ’s philosophy however is to produce unique and individual projects that are a reflection of the client, and their brand.
ZARQ Studio proudly collaborates with other leading designers, landscape architects, builders and developers and believes this is an essential component to delivering a comprehensive and successful project.

Zac Evangelisti is the founder and director of ZARQ. Prior to launching ZARQ in 2019, he worked for a number of reputable architectural practices across Melbourne and Perth with a focus on high-end residential projects.
At the commencement of each project, Zac takes the time to understand each client and their uniqueness to develop a tailored brief. He takes pride in forming strong relationships with clients and consultants as this is key to creating a successful collaboration.
Zac has been a mentor for Faculty of Architecture at the University of Western Australia, as well as the Kaleidoscope Initiative through the City of Stirling which assists newcomers to Australia in securing employment in their field of expertise.
Zac is also a member of the Australian Institute of Architects and is registered with the Architects Board of WA.

Throughout the design and documentation process we aim to find the perfect balance between constructability and creativity. Smart design, efficient planning and awareness of buildability will facilitate attractive and functional buildings. We find good collaboration and communication with consultants are crucial when transitioning from design to construction to create desired outcomes.
At ZARQ we undertake due-diligence at the forefront of a project to determine reasonable time frames to deliver a clients project. Project preparation focuses on identifying any potential risks and constraints. As a result, we are able to provide a service that meets project deadlines and goes beyond the client’s brief.
